Business Development Manager - UK

Location: Pocklington (near York), UK

Join the innovative and fast-paced team at Detectamet, the world leader in Metal Detectable and X-Ray Visible solutions. Our mission is to make the unseen visible, providing cutting-edge products that safeguard consumers and businesses across the globe. We're expanding our European market presence and are looking for a motivated Key Account Manager to help drive this growth. If you’re passionate about sales, have a proven track record, and are looking for a new challenge, this role could be the perfect fit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients, new partnerships, new products and services
  • Manage a small portfolio of key accounts
  • Creating strategies to successfully reach new business opportunities
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with current key distributors
  • Handle customer interactions via calls, emails, and online chats, supporting the wider team as needed
  • Process orders, quotes, and other customer requests efficiently
  • Pitching sales and products to new and existing, providing tailored solutions
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and expand account growth
  • Attend conferences and events to build relationships with industry partners and staying up to date with new trends
  • Conduct audits and business reviews during visits to key customers and prospects as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a business development sales-focused role
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and solve problems proactively
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
  • A keen eye for detail with the ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time efficiently
  • Based near Pocklington, UK (near York).
