Sales Manager - UK/Europe

Location: Pocklington (near York), UK

We are seeking a driven and experienced European Sales Manager to lead our efforts in expanding our market presence across Europe. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the European sales team, setting clear objectives and providing coaching, mentoring, and performance monitoring.
  • Develop and implement strategic growth plans to expand into new markets, products, and customer segments across Europe.
  • Establish and exceed revenue targets through effective goal-setting and accurate forecasting.
  • Drive continuous service improvements and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Generate leads and build long-term relationships with both new and existing customers.
  • Leverage market insights and business intelligence to identify growth opportunities and refine strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve customer-related issues and deliver seamless service.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ sales experience with a proven track record of achieving targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the sales process from start to finish and deliver measurable results.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems to track, manage, and optimise the sales pipeline.
  • Industry experience in sectors such as Industrial, Food, Pharma, or Workplace Supplies is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel across Europe.
  • Proficiency in additional languages is a plus but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients, new partnerships, new products and services
  • Manage a small portfolio of key accounts
  • Creating strategies to successfully reach new business opportunities
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with current key distributors
  • Handle customer interactions via calls, emails, and online chats, supporting the wider team as needed
  • Process orders, quotes, and other customer requests efficiently
  • Pitching sales and products to new and existing, providing tailored solutions
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and expand account growth
  • Attend conferences and events to build relationships with industry partners and staying up to date with new trends
  • Conduct audits and business reviews during visits to key customers and prospects as needed.
